Pureblood Fae are all elementally bound to the same sacred area. It can be their ancestral homeland, the place they were born, a place which their parents performed some sort of sacred rite involving them, the place which they they were married, or lastly some place they bound themselves to. But the thing all Pureblood Fae have in common, is that their powers are all bound to this sacred place.

Their Prana only regenerates in this sacred place. They will die if they are not brought home and they have been injured, and their Prana will be cut in half if they leave home thus making it far more likely that if they leave home they will be killed, thus most fae will not do this without really really good reason. They also tend to keep this fact a closely guarded secret as it is a weakness as big to them as iron is.

Half Vampire, Half Fae, also known as the Shadow Fae, are not elementally bound. They never have to deal with the problem of their powers being tied to any specific place. Energy Pools are never halved with them. But Shadow Fae will never have the land itself heal them. They must feed. They must feed using whatever method of feeding was the method of choice to their vampire parent. They have no choice in the matter because they cannot heal by returning to the sacred groove.

Mortal Fae, are less powerful then their Purebred Counterparts. Their Energy Pools are less. They are most closely related in power to the Half-Vampire, and their Energy Pool are in fact identical to the Half Vampire. Mortal Fae do not have to worry about iron being a bane. They do not have to return to their sacred groove or area which they are elementally bound to heal. Their Energy Pools will not be halved if they leave. But their rate of recovery of Prana will be highest in their Sacred Groove.
